Lately, we’re hearing more of the same thing: A dope track gets played, someone mentions the producer’s age, and we immediately think, “wait, HOW OLD did you say they were?” Chalk it up to the early age children are using technology, or the easy access to production software, but there are a number of producers who are creating some impressive music that can’t get into the bars they are getting played in. And it’s not just about churning out a great melody, these producers are bringing a higher quality of sound to their productions as well.
Gioisofficial is seen as a teenage prodigy when he first hit the scene, at 15, Gio had already surpassed over 5 million streams on youtube. Gio started off in hip hop but quickly jumped into edm. The level of quality in his tracks is what really stands out; it’s almost unheard of for someone to come out of the box and really be churning out top notch work.
Gio announced that he will be releasing a five song ep this month. This will be a solo ep titled Rags to Riche$. After the release of Rags to Riche$, Gio intends to release five more edm hits before moving on to a different genre.“As a producer/dj I want to be very versatile. Honestly after the release of rags to riches I plan on dropping a handful of edm tracks before I change genres.” Gio quoted.
Regardless of the genre, the 15-year-old prodigy continues to make waves. It all started with hip hop and now it’s edm, but who knows what’s next. He’s still getting into his stride. Give him a year more? he’ll be on the tips of everyone’s tongues.
