The record captivates the listener as both artists are speaking to things that come with the harsh reality of growing up in the streets. Lewie has dealt with the loss of brothers to drugs, prison and gang violence. Things that really affect mental health and change someone’s beliefs and approach to life, ultimately you could say leaving them with a “Broken Soul”. Although these events left him heavy of heart, Lewie chose to transmute that pain into something beautiful through his music.
