Nilla’s Diary is Nilla Allin’s most introspective work yet, as she reflects on real experiences and grows from them in her latest release.
Los Angeles artist Nilla Allin is back with a new project as she addresses topics of love, heartbreak, and betrayal, exploring both friendships and relationships with her latest project. Nilla’s Diary is what you would come to expect, deep and intricate thoughts masked behind the anonymity of a diary, which introduces a whole other level of truthfulness and realness, as Nilla Allin, goes all in, leaving nothing unsaid.
“Nilla’s Diary is by far the most vulnerable project I’ve worked on thus far, and I believe others will find this body of work relatable as each song triggers a different emotion (anger, embarrassment, confusion, and finally ending with love & happiness).”
Making for a creative production process, Nilla’s Diary is a tale of reflection on real-life scenarios that tested her relationships in college, making for an incredible project that she says everyone will find “relatable.”
The project is a whirlwind of emotion and passion, from hit songs like “Good Guys Lose” and “Letter To My Ex BF” that fill you with a sentiment of cleansing, of releasing things you have only written and never said aloud, making for a powerful project that will leave audiences stunned, amazed, and ultimately wanting more.
Nilla Allin’s “Letter To My Ex BF” is, nevertheless, the standout track from her journal, as the track details the falling out of best friends, something a lot harder to deal with and reflect on than a boyfriend, since your friendship with your best friend is supposed to last forever, right? But Nilla Allin shows a different experience. She describes the song as what happens when friends fall apart.
“Friendships can be just as toxic, and those breakups hurt just as much, if not more,” Nilla continues.
Nilla details how her BF (best friend) is lacking as a friend, putting her relationship with someone as toxic as him before her, as the song “Letter To My Ex BF” becomes a heartfelt message about friendship, abusive & toxic relationships, and the “situations we go through as women but do not usually, talk about.”
Nilla Allin‘s project, Nilla’s Diary, dropped on February 3, 2022 – just in time for Valentines Day, and the response has been incredible.
Not only does she have a billboard in her city, but Nilla has been receiving words of praise by the press and her peers as well.
