The independent Rap group known as HBK is on the verge of emerging in the music industry. Fresh off a new music video release to the single Ringer, which was featured on the popular Adam22 Owned blog No Jumper, HBK Tyranny (@hbktyranny) has partnered up with his childhood counterpart HBK Donavon (@hbkdonavon) to create their first collaborative project.
“Bitch” is the title of their newest visual. A derogatory term to many, but to the “Heartbreak” rappers it is a term reserved both for men and women, for in their words “Anyone can be a bitch, a bitch is somebody who doesn’t handle their responsibilities. A lot of our fathers were bitches” HBK Tyranny causally joked.
The video is shot in the Big Apple and emphasizes saving the New York City landmark Elizabeth Street Garden, which is set to be demolished by real estate developers and replaced with high-rise buildings. Directed by BangerzBoulevard (@BangerzBoulevard) and Shot by MC Electric Artistry (@mceletricartistry) the visual to Bitch is truly captivating.
When speaking with HBK Donavon, we asked him, “what inspired the new track?” To which he responded, “This one was just about the ones who turned their back on us. There are ones we fed, put in their first studio sessions, came out the mud with and they all folded under the pressure. Now I’m the bad guy. The heartbreak never stops for real, there are so many faces to it.”
Bitch is the first track to become available off of HBK Tyranny’s upcoming mixtape set to drop this summer, with features from NYC artists Slick Pusha (@slickpushaoffixial) and Porter Gz (@porter_gz). Be on the lookout for HBKs new video on @flowtastictv, and check out their recent collaboration on Welcome to Heartbreak which is available on Spotify, Apple Music, and other platforms.
