About Flowgod
Born and raised in Brooklyn, Flowgod has had a tough life. His dad spent time in jail, and he grew up with a single mother who did her best while still taking care of their children. Flowgod found his passion in music- he was able to channel his energies into something positive and not get involved in the bad habits despite living on the streets surrounded by drug addicts. When he turned 11- her mother decided to move to East Harlem. Living in East Harlem was more manageable financially. However, Flowgod still knew first-hand what it was like to experience some hardships like evictions and being without power or heat throughout the building’s city streets. Still, he remained focused on what really mattered to him: being successful as a musician.
Flowgod started pursuing his musical dream at the young age of 18, dropping out of college. To support himself at the time, he had to take odd jobs like working as a construction worker or being a cashier in K-Mart. At 21 he was able to enroll back in school and became a certified engineer who focused on music technology. After getting the degree- Flowgod joined Mercy Sound Studios. He loved this job because this job was providing him with several opportunities to work with different musical celebrities. When FlowGod takes the stage and starts rapping, his fans get so excited that they’ll follow him anywhere he goes.
