TCM Pain Is Putting On For The South

When music is surrounding you, it almost feels like a future career within it seems inevitable. Twenty-two year-old Louisiana artist TCM Pain has always leaned toward music growing up. When it comes to music, known in his hometown of New Orleans, LA for his very own unique, melodic sound. However, he was also known for his academic success as he excelled in his college career path. Pain could have gone either way when it came to his next step in life, but ultimately chose music. It wasn’t until during the COVID Pandemic, in fall of 2020, that he stepped in the studio and experimented with melodies and flow that he decided to pursue music full-time as an artist. The independent artist dropped a few singles “Switch Sides,” “For My Heart Too,” and “I’m Coming Home,” to name a few. Since then, he’s released 2 new songs and collaborated with many well-known producers.

Listen to TCM Pain’s music and you’ll definitely get the powerful message he brings to the table. “It’s going to make you think about your past experiences and troubles, and just reflect, which I think is very important on how we grow as people.” His sound is comparable to Juice Wrld, Rod Wave, Lil Peep, and Post Malone. The melodic hip-hop artist has been keeping busy with his newest single “You Should Know” which was inspired by the loss of his close friend.

Q Where do you currently live?

A. I currently reside in New Orleans which is also where I’m from. I have plans to move out west to Los Angeles or the surroundings areas to network for my music career. I’m currently learning all aspects of the industry to enhance my performance on stage-vocal lessons, dance rehearsals, etc.

Q: Why Music?

A: Music has always been an essential part of my life- a way to escape certain things. At first I thought I would be a rapper, just messing around with beats. But when I started putting more melodies together, I leaned more toward a dark, saddened tone and flow. So I prefer the label ‘artist’ because I am versatile.

Q: Who is your inspiration?
A: My family, my parents and my brothers are my motivation because they support everything I do! It’s only right I make it happen for them. Outside of music I surround myself with loved ones, they’re really the ones that keep me going! They remind me to always have a good time. To never settle, always go for what you want in this one life we get.

Q: When did you record your first song?
A: I recorded my first record in October 2020 and dropped my first song, Ain’t Too Late in February of 2021. Since then I’ve recorded at least 15 songs, some released. The others, you’ll have to wait and see by following my socials!

Q: Do you have any music videos out?

A: Yes, I have 2 videos out now, I got “Don’t Know Her”, and “For My Heart Too”, I have a very special visual for all of my fans and supporters coming soon!
