DJKammyLife just dropped a new EP for the summer. He is highly distinguished in the world of music…
Garnering a very impressive roster of connections of the “whos who” in the music industry!
He not only works production on beats but also helps manage other artists and has created opportunities for artists to earn more from their music.
We sat down with DJ KammyLife to ask him what led him on his path to his music passions.
Is there a life or business methodology you pursue/live by?I am very focused on the “pay it forward” methodology, I see a lot of people not helping those around them to achieve their success. Too little do we realize when others are winning, you are winning too.
Bob Proctor was also a foundational mentor of mine growing up, unfortunately, he has passed away this
year but his legacy of helping others will live on for many years.
This is why I have been devoting my time to helping others in the music industry protect their music, and help them create opportunities to keep more of their earnings.
Who is your target audience? In what way do you help/influence them?My target audience is anyone who loves to dance. Mostly Colombian and Latin countries is where I am
more focused on providing my music too. Guaracha house is a big component of their culture and being
able to tap into it really brings me a lot of joy. I love to see people dance and smile when I am playing my sets.
Music is so powerful at bringing people together and I am grateful to be able to provide that for my fans!
What’s next for you?I plan on releasing more vocal Guaracha house music, I have recently partnered up with Isa Fyah who you may of heard on her songs “Ganas”. She has a beautiful voice and incorporating that into the music will really give it that sound I am looking for. This is going to be a big year for music and I am looking forward to starting my world tour in the later months of summer!
Can you tell us why you think businesses are less likely to survive when the musician lacks
passion for the venture?100% I believe this because musicians didn’t get into the business for the love of the business. They are simply passionate about their craft and it can be difficult to navigate through a very saturated industry.
There was this saying that said “do what you love so when you get paid for it it’s just a bonus” I truly believe when you work for things that you love it doesn’t feel like work. We are supposed to get paid to bring value and people can feel the energy you bring behind your music and work.
It can become overwhelming having to deal with all the small details of becoming a successful artist that can sometimes detract from the art of creating!
