Reggie Westmoreland Talks ‘Bad Domination Entertainment,’ the Music Industry, and more

Reggie Westmoreland is looking to switch things up in the music industry with his entertainment company, Bad Domination Entertainment (B.D.E.) Westmoreland has always rooted for emerging artists and local talent and from there, he decided to start his own business to support these artists in a more sustainable way, and teach them the business side of things. “I want to teach them how to make residuals through the major streaming platforms and calculate the revenue they’re owed,” he says. “Also, I think a lot of artists don’t understand the benefits of signing to a label when you’re younger versus waiting until you’re older.”

Reggie has always admired talent from the West Coast but felt like they could never make their way out. Now, he’s looking to change that! B.D.E started out as a record label but eventually turned into an entertainment company/lifestyle brand. But Westmoreland isn’t stopping there – he’s also looking to branch out into other types of industries, including sports and movies. But for now, music is where it’s at. One of the biggest rappers to sign with Bad Domination Entertainment is Haiti Babii, proving that it is possible for independent artists to make it without being under a major record label.

When asked where he sees his company in a couple of years, Westmoreland simply said “I see my brand partnering with a major label and overseeing the development of multiple artists. I see recognition in the forms of plaques, PR, and press.” He wants to build a solid team and make Bad Domination Entertainment a household name in the industry. With so much upcoming talent coming out of Northern California, Reggie is sure to give them the right tools and a safe space to create music. It’s also important for the entrepreneur to teach the younger generation about.
