Fresh off her legendary performance at Apple Musicâs Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show, Rihanna sat down for a cover story with British Vogue, where she shared her life since motherhood, ASAP Rocky, and hinted at her comeback. British Vogue features new photos of Roro’s new family and more. The magazine posted on Twitter. A new era begins â and for @Rihanna nothing will ever be the same. Fresh from the Super Bowl and that very special announcement, Rihanna is British Vogueâs phenomenal March 2023 cover star â but this is no ordinary cover. This is a family portrait.
In her wide-ranging discussion with Giles Hattersley, Rihanna shed light on her forthcoming ninth studio album, revealing she wants it to drop this year. When it arrives, the project will be Ririâs first full-length offering since 2016âs Anti.
âLike, honestly, itâd be ridiculous if itâs not this year,â she shared. âBut I just want to have fun. I just want to make music and make videos.â
Rihanna added, âAnd I need the right background music with the visuals. I canât just go shoot a video to me talking.â
Rihanna opened up about motherhood and her life before having a child.
âOh, my God, itâs legendary,â she said of being a mother. âItâs everything. You really donât remember life before, thatâs the craziest thing ever. You literally try to remember it â and there are photos of my life before â but the feeling, the desires, the things that you enjoy, everything, you just donât identify with it because you donât even allow yourself mentally to get that far, because it doesnât matter.â
âEssentially, from one person I became two,â she continued, describing the experience of giving birth. âYou walk into the hospital as a couple and leave as a family of three. Itâs nuts. And oh, my gosh, those first days are insane. You donât sleep. At all. Not even if you wanted to. We came home, cold turkey, had no one. It was just us as parents and our baby. Man, youâre a zombie for the most part.â
