Chad Watson, from Baldwin Hills has been steadily making serious moves in the music industry, and generating quite the wave along the way.
His latest single “Caught” landed in the Top 15 on the iTunes US Charts for R&B/Soul. It’s actually his first song to ever make it onto the iTunes charts, though we doubt it will be his last. Chad’s delivery sits well in the vocal range he seems most comfortable with. The theme of the song is simple, with well put-together melodies and just a bit of classic Chad in the second verse.
Not only is Chad busy with his artistry, he finds time to give back and serve his community. So much so that he was recently honored at the Compulsive Magazine Release Party as a 2023 “Inspired by You” award recipient. It was at this event that Chad was also presented with acknowledgements from both the California State Senate, and the US Congress for his philanthropic efforts and musical contributions.
Just a few months ago, at the tail end of 2022, Chad released his debut album;“Lord of the Unimpressed ‘‘ which garnered the attention of Billboard. The album consists of an eclectic mix of hip-hop, soul, and funk. It’s a sonic journey that seems to glide fluidly from up tempo tracks to melodic vulnerability. Chad shows a different side to himself, in “Concerned” which he has grown to display a bit more often.
It’s worth mentioning that Chad Watson is independent, being unsigned as he climbs the charts and makes his claim to be taken seriously in music. Chad has taken great measures to curate his carefully crafted public image. Aligning with certain strategic partnerships, Chad has been able to develop sponsorship collaborations with leading companies in the cannabis, media, and charity industries.
