Ohio-based rapper Winbush is making waves in the music industry with his unique sound and inspiring message. Starting his music career at just 13 years old, Winbush has overcome many obstacles to get to where he is today. One of Winbush’s proudest accomplishments was being able to perform in front of 16,000 people. “There’s no better feeling,” he says. However, staying inspired has been a challenge for him, as he finds that there’s not a lot of originality in the music industry at the moment. Dealing with politics and meeting the right people is also a challenge, as he notes that “this game is 90% business, 10% music. Relationships are everything.”
Despite these challenges, Winbush remains motivated to create music that inspires his fans. He wants people to take away a message of motivation from his music, encouraging them to keep pushing even when they’re counted out. His latest single, “Delta,” is available on all platforms, and he has a collaboration with Lil Scrappy called “Bout Nothing” that is out now, with another one set to be released this summer.
Winbush is an independent artist who draws inspiration from his two children, Taylen and Micah. He notes that they have picked the beats for his past three singles and that he values their honest opinions. His day-to-day life is a busy one, with constant travel and 2-3 hours of sleep a day, but he remains dedicated to his craft and to entertaining his fans. In fact, he surprised a crowd at the Young Jeezys Rewind Tour in Savannah, Georgia, by bringing out Lil Scrappy during his performance.
