Night Lovell ‘I Hope You’re Happy’ North American Tour to Include Several Southern California Dates

On December 8, last year, enigmatic Canadian rapper, songwriter, and record producer Night Lovell released his fifth studio album titled I Hope You’re Happy. In commemoration of the album’s launch, Lovell hosted a sold-out release party in Hollywood, California, signaling the initiation of his strategy to broaden and deepen his fan base. In additional support of the new album, which was released on G59 Records, Lovell has announced his plans to kick off a North American tour starting in February.

The I Hope You’re Happy tour is set to begin on February 2 in San Francisco, California, and wraps up on March 26 in Toronto, Canada. Along the tour, Lovell will be performing in Los Angeles, near where he held his album release party. Opening up for Lovell will be artists Haarper and fellow G59 labelmate, Germ

The release of I Hope You’re Happy is Lovell’s first studio album since his last release, Just Say You Don’t Care, which dropped in May 2021. The Ottawa native first announced the release of I Hope You’re Happy in an Instagram post on August 12, 2023. Nearly two months later, on October 9, Lovell officially announced on X (formerly Twitter) that he had completed recording the new album. Three days after the declaration, the rapper publicized the second lead single from the new record titled “My Day is Ruined !” The announcement came just one day before the track was officially released.

Lovell formally released the third single from the album, a collaborative track titled “Freak (Ft. Freddie Dredd)” on November 17, 2023. On the same day, the rapper also announced the release date of the full I Hope You’re Happy album via all of his social media accounts. The album features 12 brand-new tracks, all written and produced by Lovell. Apple Music released the track list, which includes:

On November 22, 2023, Lovell officially announced the release of his music video for the track “My Day is Ruined!” which was well-received by fans. Shortly before the I Hope You’re Happy album dropped, the rapper announced the upcoming tour with a post featuring all the dates. Among the most notable cities on the tour are San Francisco, CA, Seattle, WA, Vancouver, BC, Salt Lake City, UT, Chicago, IL, Detroit, MI, Ottawa, ON, New York, NY, Washington DC, Houston, TX, Albuquerque, NM, Denver, CO, Las Vegas, NV, and, perhaps most notably, Los Angeles.  However, for those looking forward to seeing Lovell in LA, you have to wait until the end of the tour, as his LA performance is slated for Saturday, March 23.
