A report from TMZ has confirmed that singer Justin Timberlake is currently in police custody in Sag Harbor, NY stemming from some sort of traffic incident, but it’s unclear as to why Timberlake was taken to the station.
A rep for the Sag Harbor Police Dept. confirmed that he was in custody. However, the authorities would not disclose the reason for his detainment.
Sources close to the situation say that the “Cry Me A River” singer went to meet friends at a hotel Monday night in Sag Harbor for dinner. He got into his vehicle around midnight, only to be pulled over soon after he began driving.
Some sources say it’s a mere traffic violation, but his charges have yet to be confirmed.
Justin is currently on tour, and the last performance date on the tour was June 15 in Miami.
