Nico Harrison started off with “giving Rob Pelinka a lot of credit, over the course of 3-4 weeks that started off with a coffee and a would you ever? I don’t know, would I?” We kid you not, pun intended.
He went on to say “J Kidd didn’t now about it.” That part!
He went on to say “J Kidd and I are aligned and we talk about archetypes and we talk about the culture that we want to create so I know the type of players that he likes, without actually talking to him.”
HarrisonThis said that and more … “I think when you’re aligned with your coach like that, I know the types of players he likes and I felt good about it about it making sense to where we’re trying to go.”
Kidd was there listening and appeared to be in lock step like a loyal soldier. Not much he can do if what Harrison said is totally accurate. Have to think it is. He’s standing on business, saying he and Pelinka worked in a silo to pull off the biggest trade in American sports history. Shocking as it was, at least Harrison is putting the move on his shoulders with the caveat, Kidd and I are aligned ideologically on the direction of the team.
