From Viral Touchdown Moves to a Million-Dollar Shot: Meet Denzel, the PrizePicks Super Sweat Finalist

When PrizePicks teamed up with Druski to launch the Druski Football Celebration Video Challenge, they sought the most creative, hilarious, and original touchdown dance moves. Hundreds of contestants entered, but only one could claim the coveted second seat in the Super Sweat Big Game competition. That winner? Denzel.

With an all-expense-paid trip to Texas and a free 3-pick power lineup on the line for a shot at $1 million, Denzel’s celebration dance secured his place in the ultimate fantasy sports showdown. From a last-minute creative brainstorm with his best friend Noah (and an 18-pack for inspiration) to a shot at life-changing money, his journey is nothing short of legendary.

We caught up with Denzel to hear his reaction to winning, his strategy for the big game, and how he plans to celebrate if he walks away as a millionaire.

Congratulations on being selected as a Super Sweat finalist! What was your reaction when you found out you’d be competing for the grand prize?

It was pretty surreal! I called my friends who helped make the video, and we all said, “Holy s##t, we won!”

How did you come up with your submission for the contest?

My best friend Noah and I had no idea what to do, so the day before submissions were due, we grabbed an 18-pack and started brainstorming. After about six beers, the ideas started flowing, and we put together what we like to call a cinematic masterpiece. So shoutout to the brewski’s and Noah!

You’ve been playing PrizePicks for two years—what first got you into fantasy sports, and how has your strategy evolved?

I’m a huge sports fan—mostly MLB, NBA, and NFL—so I figured, why not give PrizePicks a shot?

Winning $1 million would be life-changing. Do you have any plans for how you’d use the money?

I want to set aside a good amount for my son’s future. Outside of that, I’ll probably hold onto the money and look for smart ways to invest… right after I pull up to the Dodge dealership to buy a brand-new Hellcat.

What’s your strategy for preparing your lineup?

I’m just going with my gut! I’m also a huge Eagles fan, so that might influence my picks a little.

What advice would you give to other fantasy sports fans who want to compete in future PrizePicks contests?

Just go for it! I’ve never really been the type to enter contests like this, and now, a week later, I’m on my way to Texas with a shot at $1,000,000!
