With tensions still on the rise between 50 Cent and former BMF honcho Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory, Rick Ross is stepping in with plans of his own, considering a major theatrical film about the BMF empire once 50 Cent’s popular STARZ series wraps up.
Ross took to the Gram to share his vision, writing, “I WANT TO DO A REAL BMF MOVIE, THEATERS ONLY,” alongside a promotional image of himself and Meech, who will be celebrating his release from prison at a concert in Miami on February 13, 2024.
In another interesting post, Ross pondered whether he should bring in some heavy-hitting directors to bring his vision to life, suggesting Antoine Fuqua (Training Day, The Equalizer) or Quentin Tarantino (Pulp Fiction, Django Unchained) as potential choices.

Who wants to tell Ross? Umm, Tarantino has long professed his next film, The Movie Critic, will be his last movie he directs. Just saying.
Ross, not holding back, elaborated further in another clip: “I do want to do a BMF film because you’ve been entertained by a lackluster, small-budget series. Now it’s time to do a big-budget film. Which director? Shout out to my homie F. Gary Gray (Friday, Set It Off, Straight Outta Compton), Antoine Fuqua, what’s up? Tarantino? It’s a lot of legends. This is gon’ be big, I can feel it.”
Gotcha.
The timing could be ripe for Ross’s project, as 50 Cent has threatened to end the STARZ series after Season 4, citing Big Meech’s association with Ross since his release from prison. Following a heated text exchange with his son and BMF actor Lil Meech, 50 Cent remarked, “what next season little *ninja emoji,” hinting at potential discord behind the scenes.
