Tony Buzbee Denied for License in Southern District of New York

Tony Buzbee, the lawyer famed for the pursuit of lawsuits Jay-Z and Diddy, has had his license denied in the Southern District of New York.

As a result, each filing must have the denial attached.

Earlier this month, a lawsuit led by Buzbee against JAY-Z and Diddy, accusing the two of the rape of a 13-year-old girl, was dropped. JAY-Z released a statement against the “appalling allegations,” his lawyer, Alex Spiro, confirmed that HOV hadn’t paid any money in the dismissal. The case cannot be re-filed.

“The false case against Jay-Z, that never should have been brought, has been dismissed with prejudice,” Spiro said to AllHipHop. “By standing up in the face of heinous and false allegations, Jay has done what few can—he pushed back, he never settled, he never paid one red penny, he triumphed and cleared his name.”

HOV released his own statement declaring victory: “This civil suit was without merit and never going anywhere. The fictional tale they created was laughable, if not for the seriousness of the claims. I would not wish this experience on anyone.”
