AEW Wrestlers Reportedly Pitched Kendrick Lamar Appearance After Drake’s WWE Visit

Following Drake’s appearance at WWE Elimination Chamber, AEW wrestlers and backstage personnel quickly floated the idea of bringing Kendrick Lamar to their promotion, according to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp.

The suggestion was reportedly made in response to Drake’s high-profile presence at the WWE event, sparking discussions about AEW securing its own major music star. However, despite the enthusiasm behind the idea, sources indicate that Lamar’s appearance in AEW remains highly unlikely. The Grammy-winning rapper has no known ties to professional wrestling, making such a crossover difficult to materialize.

While AEW has welcomed celebrities in the past, including Shaquille O’Neal and Snoop Dogg, the chances of Lamar stepping into the ring or making an on-screen appearance seem slim.

Hip-hop had a heavy presence at WWE’s latest Premium Live Event, Elimination Chamber. On hand at the Rogers Centre in Toronto were Hip-Hop’s elite, including Travis Scott, Drake, and Lil Yachty.

Scott had the biggest night of anyone involved, introducing The Rock with a “Fe!n” infused theme song. He then joined “The Final Boss” in the ring as a special enforcer, aiding Rock and newly turned heel, the greatest of all time, John Cena, as they pummeled Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, setting up an epic WrestleMania match.

Rumors are currently flying that Scott has been training and will have a match in the future. Maybe he is aiming for Bad Bunny’s crown?

In the crowd watching, longtime WWE fan Lil Yachty may have converted Drake to the wrasslin’ world. Drake shared a collection of images from the event on Instagram, writing, “I’m sold.”

And salute to Logan Paul for seeing The Boy ringside.
