In honor of International Women’s Day, the Equal Chance Foundation and RBC hosted the 2025 LEADHER Awards, spotlighting women pushing boundaries in business, tech, media, sports, education, and humanitarian efforts.

Hosted by Deiondra Sanders and Equal Chance co-founder Gwen Madiba, the evening featured appearances from Meagan Good, Tatyana Ali, NLE Choppa, and more. Beyond celebration, the event emphasized social impact, with proceeds supporting UNICEF and the future development of a reproductive care home for homeless pregnant Black women in Canada.

Among the night’s most emotional moments was a tribute to Angeleta Potts, mother and manager of NLE Choppa, for shaping his success. Another poignant highlight came from Gloria Luhaka, who shared her painful story of homelessness and the tragic loss of her two-year-old son due to poor living conditions. After avoiding Women’s Day since his passing in 2023, Luhaka was honored and given the stage to share his story and name, thanks to Gwen Madiba.

Through powerful stories and a commitment to real change, the LEADHER Awards continue to inspire and elevate women worldwide. Visit leadherawards.com for more.
