Jonathan Majors has opened up about the traumatic experiences of his past, revealing that he was sexually abused by both men and women as a child.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Majors shared that his abuse began at age 9, just a year after his father left the family. He described the perpetrators as people who were “supposed to look after you, in the absence of a father.”
Majors confronted his childhood trauma during therapy sessions that were required as part of a domestic violence program, which he completed following his 2023 assault conviction involving his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.
He admitted the abuse deeply affected him, saying it left him “f***ed up.” Only recently did he open up to his mother about his experiences, and although she responded with an emotional apology, Majors reassured her that he had made peace with it. He felt it was important to share his truth as part of their family’s story, believing that acknowledging the past would help them “grow and learn from it.”
As Majors works to rebuild his career and personal life, he appears focused on healing and moving forward, using this moment to address his emotional struggles and turn a new page.
