The moment unfolded in the second inning when Voit roped a pitch to center field, bringing in three runs for the Wolverines. After sliding headfirst into third, he leaned down toward the chalk baseline and mimicked taking a big sniff, which quickly went viral on X (formerly Twitter).
While some fans praised the celebration for its creativity, others criticized it as inappropriate. So far, neither Michigan’s coaching staff nor the Big Ten Conference has announced any disciplinary action against the junior second baseman.
