Cade Cunningham delivered in the clutch Wednesday night, knocking down back-to-back 3-pointers in the final minute — including a game-winner with 0.6 seconds left — to lift the Pistons over the Heat, 116-113.
The All-Star guard banked in the decisive shot over Bam Adebayo, sealing Detroit’s 39th win of the season and their grip on a potential postseason return for the first time since 2019.
Cunningham finished with a triple-double (25 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists), his ninth of the year.
“It’s what you always dream of as a kid,” he said postgame. “On the driveway, countdown in your head.”
Detroit stays 6th in the East, just behind the 5th-place Bucks.
