Hall of Fame radio personality Sway Calloway has officially returned to the West Coast after over two decades, marking a significant milestone in his career.
To celebrate, Sway in the Morning hosted an exclusive welcome event at the SiriusXM Garage Studio in Hollywood, featuring intimate artist conversations and performances. This marks a major evolution for SiriusXM’s beloved morning show, which now broadcasts from Los Angeles and New York City, connecting fans coast-to-coast with the same unfiltered and authentic conversations that have defined its success.
The New York team—Tracy G, DJ DB, and Producer Torch—will continue to hold down the East Coast, ensuring Sway in the Morning remains a bi-coastal powerhouse for music, film, and culture. This expansion further solidifies the show’s reputation for integrity, cultural credibility, and meaningful storytelling.
Fans were treated to an intimate evening featuring Alex Isley, Amanda Reifer, Estelle, and Lucky Daye.
Amanda Reifer set the tone for the evening, infusing the lineup with her signature island-inspired sound. Alex Isley followed with soulful renditions of “Into Orbit” and “Hands”, followed by a heartfelt discussion on how signing with Free Lunch/Warner Records was the perfect next step after beginning her career as an independent artist.
Lucky Daye engaged in a passionate conversation about his songwriting process without performing. As the team unpacked the meaning of “Paralyzed”, Sway ultimately landed on the most resonant interpretation. Daye shared that songwriting should feel personal yet universally relatable, giving fans an honest glimpse into his emotions while maintaining a sense of mystery.

Closing the night with a bang, Estelle had the audience on their feet, hitting the electric slide during her classic hits “American Boy” and “Come Over”.
Following the performances, Sway, Heather B., and Tracy G. sat down for an exclusive interview with The Source Magazine. Heather B. and Tracy G. spoke highly of Sway’s leadership and unwavering integrity, both on and off the mic. They highlighted his role as one of the few men in hip-hop using his platform to elevate and empower women, a principle further emphasized by their Strength of a Woman social media campaign.
In its 14-year run, Sway in the Morning has remained a trusted space where artists feel safe, heard, and respected. The team spoke about the importance of truly listening to guests, allowing them to share their work and stories without pressure. After over two decades as an esteemed media journalist, Sway shared one of his favorite questions, asking about a guest’s “why,” offering the opportunity to share the deeper purpose behind their work.
As the show enters this new bi-coastal chapter, it remains dedicated to bridging audiences across the country while staying true to its core values of authenticity, cultural connection, and journalistic integrity.
Listeners can tune in weekdays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET on SiriusXM SHADE 45, channel 45, or stream exclusive content via Sway’s Universe YouTube channel.
