Chris Brown Tells Fans to Quit the Comparisons: “I’m Not Part of Their Groups”

Chris Brown wants the endless debates and comparisons to come to a halt once and for all. Full stop. We agree with Breezy.

In case you missed it, Breezy is currently headlining his Breezy Bowl Tour. The R&B singer took to the Gram on Friday, June 27, to share how exhausted he feels by constant scrutiny and being measured against other artists. In a detailed message, Brown declared that he has always stood apart from industry circles and has never relied on celebrity cliques to build his legacy.

“I wish y’all would stop comparing me to other artists and saying me versus someone else,” he wrote. “Until one of these artists does all this on their own, with no help, while the media constantly attacks them, then come talk to me. I’m focused on feeding my family. I don’t care what the next artist is doing.”

The two-time Grammy winner also made it clear that he feels no connection to mainstream celebrity culture. “I don’t mess with celebrities,” he continued. “I’m not part of their groups. Breezy Bowl is for the fans who want to be there. That’s what matters. I’ve been grinding for 20 years, and I know I’ll never be recognized for anything beyond the drama, so spare me that talk.”

Like we said, enough is enough.
