Drake Launches $ome $pecial $ongs 4 UK EU Tour with Explosive Birmingham Show

On Sunday night, Drake launched his $ome $pecial $ongs 4 UK EU Tour with the first of three shows at Birmingham’s Utilita Arena. The five-time Grammy winner opened with the live debut of “GIMME A HUG,” setting the tone for an electrifying night packed with fan favorites like “Headlines,” “Teenage Fever,” “Controlla,” and “In My Feelings.”

Halfway through the set, fellow Canadian artist PARTYNEXTDOOR joined Drake onstage to perform tracks from their joint project $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, including “CN TOWER” and “DIE TRYING.” The surprise collab energized the crowd, with both artists showcasing their chemistry and catalogue.

Drake returned solo for a powerful final stretch that featured “Rich Baby Daddy,” “Hotline Bling,” and “NOKIA,” before closing with the emotional “Yebba’s Heartbreak.”

The tour opener follows Drake’s three-night takeover at Wireless Festival in London, where he brought out a staggering lineup of surprise guests including Lauryn Hill, Giveon, Bryson Tiller, J Hus, and Skepta.

This marks Drake’s first UK and EU tour since 2019’s Assassination Vacation Tour and follows a string of sold-out shows in Australia and North America. The tour resumes tomorrow with another show in Birmingham before heading to cities like Manchester, Amsterdam, Milan, and Berlin.
