Issa Rae is hitting the road to promote her new essay collection, I Should Be Smarter Now, out Aug. 26 via Amazon Original Stories. The follow-up to her 2015 bestseller The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl features six essays on topics including the building of her media empire. The tour kicks off Sept. 8 in Philadelphia, with stops in Washington, D.C., and Dallas before closing Sept. 24 in Detroit. Presale tickets are available starting Tuesday at 10 a.m. ET.
