Okay, ladies, summer is wrapping up. Cuffin szn is on the way and Latto is dishing on what landed the man of her dreams. Speaking on dating, the Sugar Honey Iced Tea rapper delivered her own tea on what bagged her man.
“I think I stumbled upon my person by just investing in and building myself up,” Latto said to Billboard. “Then I attracted someone who was on the same wavelength, the same frequency. Too many times, we try to chase it instead of being it ourselves.
“When you are that, it naturally attracts to you. You gotta be that first, that’s step one.”
Fresh off the one-year anniversary of her album Sugar Honey Iced Tea, three-time Grammy-nominated artist Latto hosted a D’USSÉ Friday party at Pasha in Atlanta. The ATL-born rapper celebrated her successful year and upcoming new music with some of the city’s buzziest figures, including Jayda Cheaves, Dess Dior, Reginae Carter, Chase B, and Zonnique Rodriguez.
Guests raised a toast with Latto’s signature cocktail, the D’USSÉ Peach Lemonade, in honor of the album milestone and her role as the face of the new D’USSÉ Friday summer campaign. The campaign draws on the Roc Nation tradition of toasting to the weekend and encourages a shift from hustle to recognition—a vibe that matches Latto’s “Big Mama” persona.

The event featured specialty cocktails, music by Chase B and DJ Stormy, a “Victory Pour” photo booth, and a cocktail education session led by D’USSÉ ambassadors Sullivan Doh and French Marshall. Attendees also engraved gold cups to take home as keepsakes for future celebrations.
Latto’s D’USSÉ Friday bash follows a recent event with R&B star Ravyn Lenae and continues to highlight her rising influence in music and culture.
