Diddy remains in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, as he awaits his sentencing hearing scheduled for October 3. On Tuesday, his family visited him, marking another show of support following his guilty verdict on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. According to photos obtained by TMZ, his mother, Janice Combs, sons Christian “King” Combs and Justin Combs, Dana Tran, and his youngest daughter, Love, were all present during the visit.
This wasn’t the first time Diddy’s loved ones have visited since the verdict. In an interview with Billboard published on August 1, Christian Combs shared that he had recently seen his father. “Yeah, I saw him. Of course, it wasn’t in the ideal place,” he admitted. “…We dapped up and all that. At least it’s not like behind the wall, but it’s definitely not it.”
Despite the circumstances, Christian emphasized that the family is staying optimistic ahead of Diddy’s sentencing. “We feel like just moving forward with positive vibes, love,” he said. “Me? My tape just dropped. I got videos dropping. My sisters got a clothing line coming out. My brother Quincy’s into acting, Justin’s in business. My little sister Chan, she’s in college right now at NYU. Baby Love is growing up. So, yeah, just continuing to live life and bring positive vibes to the world. I think that’s just the main focus.”
Diddy’s trial concluded in July, when the jury acquitted him of the most serious charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering. However, he was convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. While those charges carry a maximum sentence of 20 years, prosecutors have recommended a four-year prison term. The October 3 hearing will determine whether the Bad Boy Records founder remains behind bars or receives a reduced sentence.
