Beyoncé and JAY-Z Plan £8.5 Million Country House in the Cotswolds

THE CARTERS

Beyoncé and JAY-Z are planning to build a country house in the Cotswolds, UK. The off-market land, listed at £8.5 million, includes permission for a lake and woodland. The plans describe the property as “Meticulously designed to integrate with the natural landscape, the property offers a striking architectural statement, blending contemporary style with sustainable building practices.”

According to The Mirror, a close friend states the two are looking at a new home after the L.A. wildfires. The insider said, “The wildfires have given them a good reason to look outside of Los Angeles to build new bases. They will always be based in LA, but the UK is on the agenda. Beyonce loves the UK because they support everything she does.”

Even with an empire built on platinum plaques and billion-dollar business moves, Jay-Z and Beyoncé still know how to keep the financial world buzzing.

According to previous reports from the Daily Mail, the Carters have taken out a $57.75 million mortgage on their lavish Bel-Air estate, raising their total borrowing on the property to a jaw-dropping $110 million. Initially purchased for $88 million in 2017, the home is now subject to a new 30-year loan with a 5% interest rate for the first decade, resulting in an estimated monthly payment of $310,000. Could this UK home be the reason?

That figure is in addition to a previous mortgage from 2021, a $52.8 million loan with Goldman Sachs at a lower 3.15% rate, with payments totaling around $226,901 per month.

Additionally, the couple is reportedly spending $100,343 every month in property taxes alone. That doesn’t include the cost of staffing and maintaining the estate, which features 11 bedrooms, four pools, a full-service spa, a media room, a wellness center, and more, all designed by renowned architect Dean McKillen and spread across six interconnected structures.
