The Weeknd is aiming to raise $1 billion USD by using his music catalog as collateral, according to Bloomberg. This move allows him to access capital without selling his music rights. The deal, led by Lyric Capital Group, would be one of the largest of its kind for an individual artist.
Recently, The Weeknd officially made history. Billboard Boxscore revealed that his After Hours Til Dawn Tour has become the highest-grossing R&B tour of all time.
Since launching in 2022, the tour has earned $635.5 million and sold 5.1 million tickets, surpassing Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour, which grossed $579.8 million across 56 shows in 2023.
This milestone adds to The Weeknd’s growing list of accomplishments, solidifying his global impact and dominance in modern R&B.
As the tour continues, fans can expect more sold-out stadiums and record-breaking numbers from the chart-topping performer.
