Young Thug and his YSL collective have landed back in the spotlight after an interrogation video from two years ago reappeared online. The clip shows Thugger mentioning Peewee Roscoe during questioning, which quickly set socials ablaze with accusations that he was snitching.
We are not going to include the clip but it ties back to Roscoe’s alleged involvement in the 2015 shooting at Lil Wayne’s tour bus. Fans wasted no time reacting, with many calling Thug’s name into question. He quickly took to Twitter to defend himself, writing, “They didn’t play my interrogation video in court cause I helped my brada #Ratwhere?” His words only added more fuel to the already growing debate across the hip hop community.
Other YSL members including Woody, Ralo, Peewee, and Duke have weighed in, while outside figures such as Charleston White and Wack 100 have also jumped into the conversation. Many online voices claimed Thug betrayed Peewee, but Roscoe himself came forward to back him up.
Roscoe laid out his view clearly. “That’s what you’re supposed to do. When you go in the interrogation room, that’s what you do. You tell ’em ‘We sold Dwayne Carter weed.’ What the fck is wrong with you? A statement is this right here…. He did what a tax-paying citizen do, a real street n***. He kept it silent, kept it overly real. Really, tried to pull me out the hole.”
Even with Roscoe defending him, accusations keep circulating. Thug has since turned the spotlight toward others in the crew, pointing to Gunna, Ralo, and Duke as the ones he views as the real informants.
This situation is another reminder of how old footage can quickly resurface and spark new controversy. In hip hop, where image and loyalty are always under the microscope, past interrogations and legal drama can reignite public scrutiny years after the fact.
