Superman will return in 2027. With James Gunn’s version of the caped hero running up box office numbers, DC is set to deliver the sequel, Superman: Man of Tomorrow, on July 9, 2027.
Gunn made the announcement, revealing the story may highlight Lex Luthor in his Warsuit. According to Variety, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav previously disclosed Gunn would return to write and direct the sequel.
2027 is shaping up to be a big year for DC as it also has The Batman Part II pegged for Oct. 1 of the same year.
