Rapsody and Madlib Join Forces on New MadRaps EP

GRAMMY Award-winning artist Rapsody has released MadRaps, a new 2-song EP produced in collaboration with the legendary Madlib. Out now via We Each Other / Roc Nation Distribution, the project was first available in limited-edition physical versions and has now arrived on streaming platforms.

The EP features two tracks, “Avon Thru The Wire” and “Daddy’s Girl,” that showcase Rapsody’s sharp lyricism and soul-baring vulnerability over Madlib’s textured, sample-driven production. On “Avon Thru The Wire,” she navigates the tension between street loyalty and personal growth, weaving memory, trauma, and love into a vivid street memoir. On “Daddy’s Girl,” she critiques industry double standards with lines like, “I still ain’t got my roses, I’m waiting / I bought some vases,” underscoring her ongoing fight for recognition in hip hop.

To celebrate the release, Rapsody has launched exclusive merchandise, vinyl, and cassette editions at www.iamrapsody.com, alongside a grassroots street campaign honoring hip hop’s analog era.

This fall, she will join Joey Bada$$ as a special guest on his Dark Aura Tour with Ab-Soul. The North American run begins in October and concludes in Philadelphia on November 21.

Positioned between her GRAMMY-winning album Please Don’t Cry and forthcoming music, MadRaps serves as a raw and unfiltered statement, cementing Rapsody’s place among hip hop’s most elite lyricists.
