Oh, you thought our Unsigned Hype alumnus was relegated to strictly Gold Era Hip-Hop samples and DOOM beats. You couldn’t be more wrong. Baby faced Bishy lays a verse over the “Fancy” single from Iggy Azalea and Charli XCX, which may come as a pleasant surprise to most. We became familiar with Bishop from his impressive variety of flows over Jazzy samples, leading to his selection as our Unsigned Hype two issues ago. But this new freestyle shows that he does much more than chill, meditate, and pen complex rhymes. Despite all of the assets distracting him, he reminds us that he’s focused on the music. You’re a better man than me, Bishop.
Bishp’s last track was a collaboration with Disclosure titled “You Stressin.” Also be on the look out for his upcoming project with DOOM which should be dropping sooner than later.
