Money. Water. Air. Time. Gold. Whatever we choose to make valuable, people will endlessly search to have more of it. To prove that it’s more of human nature than the material of envy, itself, that causes a hypocritical culture, The Black Opera release their first single in some time, titled “No Water.” In their fantastic world where water could be seen as replacing money, it’s both wasted and scavenged. You’ll find that this world isn’t so different from the one we live in today. And the chant driven production from Jansport J matches that sentiment perfectly.
“No Water” comes off their upcoming album, The Great Year (9/30). It will feature production from Waajeed, 14KT, yU, Arjun Singh, Tall Black Guy, and special guest vocals from Georgia Anne Muldrow. You can pre-order your copy HERE. In the mean time, you can download their new single HERE and see them on tour with with Jaded Inc (Mayer Hawthorne & 14KT).
