Cam Newton is known for being less-than-enthusiastic about being pressed–pun intended–by reporters at press conferences or in any other forum about things pertaining to him, whether it’s his play or his behavior, and here’s a hilarious prime example. Shortly before the Panthers’ first game of the season against the Tampa Bay Bucs, Newton, the team’s star quarterback and franchise player, was scratched from the starting lineup, due to a nagging injury. Naturally, when a high profile quarterback is told he isn’t playing in the team’s season opener, he’s liable to get a little irate. That being said, watch the following clip in which Cam trolls a room full of reporters with his “my main focus is the Detroit Lions and Donkey Kong Suh” responses, referring to the Detroit Lions’ menacing Defensive Tackle, Ndamukong Suh.
The Panthers and the Lions will square off on Sunday at 1pm.
