AP is back in business
Late last week, Adrian Peterson was indicted on child abuse charges, after news of him disciplining his son with a switch surfaced. He was quickly deactivated from the roster for Sunday’s match-up with the New England Patriots, and his future in the 2014-2015 NFL season seemed shaky, to say the least. As expected, the Vikings lost Sunday’s game against the Patriots, by a score of 30-7, and they only accounted for 54 rushing yards, but their futility may only be short-lived. ESPN just reported that Adrian Peterson will return to full-practice this week, and will play in Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints. AP’s return couldn’t be more timely. The Saints boast one of the league’s worst defenses: dead last in pass defense, and 21st against the rush, so the Vikings offense is going to have a chance to flourish if they expect to improve their record to 2-1.
