What do you even say in response to that?
Most people dread getting sentenced to death. It makes them cringe, vomit, and fear for their lives–the very same life that was just very legally taken from them.
This guy, however, seems to know something the rest of us don’t. 25-year-old James Herard, was convicted of a string of robberies–one of which claimed the life of a civilian–in 2008, and he’s maintained his innocence throughout the whole process. He’s already received a life sentence for a 2008 murder, and after being found guilty of 18 of the 19 charges he was arraigned on, he was sentenced to death by the judge.
Before she delivered his sentence, Herard was allegedly very steadfast in his…request.
Go ahead and do what you gonna do. I pretty much dare you to give me the death sentence because I’m innocent.
Pretty intense stuff.
