Sir Philip Green hosted the inaugural Design Collective for Evans SS’15 catwalk show, an exciting initiative that brought high end design to the great British high street during London Fashion Week.
With the focus on the capital for London Fashion Week SS15, Evans showcased full outfits from the main collections of Clements Ribeiro, Giles Deacon, Hema Kaul, Jamie Wei Huang, Lulu Liu and Vita Gottlieb. All of their designs have been reworked using our specific knowledge and shape specialism to create a collaborative “Design Collective”.
Guests included: Sir Philip Green, Alison Hammond, Brix Smith Start, Charlotte De Carle, Darren Kennedy, Fern McCann, Kimberly Garner, Henry Conway, Leanne Jones, Lisa Reilly, Mark Hayes and Tamzin Outhwaite. This is a groundbreaking moment for the brand, for London fashion and the designers involved as it proves that fashion is inclusive.
Speaking about the new collaborations, Evans Brand Director Fiona Ross commented:
“The Design Collective for Evans is another opportunity to put fashion and design at the forefront of the British high street. We are delighted to work with such amazing design talent and to push the boundaries by being the first to showcase a plus size brand in this way.” As the shape specialists on the British high street, Evans has always strived to change attitudes about the plus market, whilst offering curve conscious pieces that fit and flatter. The Design Collective for Evans is the next step in our journey and one that we see as the shape of things to come.
