56-year old newspaper deliveryman Steven Gove was wearing his reflective vest while riding his 3-wheeled bicycle when he was struck by a drunk driver. Thankfully, Gove would be okay, but his story of survival is as outlandish as they come.

According to authorities, after Gove was struck by the driver, a 20-year old Wisconsin man, he flew into the car, and his entire torso was stuck in the windshield of the car–something that apparently didn’t bother the driver. The 20-year old man, whose identity has yet to be revealed, continued to drive towards his destination, running a stop-sign and hitting another car, and finally pulling up at his home with Gove still in the windshield. According to Gove, he turned to the driver and said, “Hello, I’m the guy you hit on the bicycle.” The fact that he had the wherewithal to utter those words in the first place is mind-blowing in itself.

It wasn’t until the driver pulled up at his home did he ask a pair of ridiculous questions. “Who are you?” and “What are you doing in the car?” are both questions he posed to Gove after turning the engine off. Reality began to strike, and according to Gove, he began freaking out upon realization that though he was about to head into his house, his next destination would be jail.

What happened next? “I righted myself and got out. I unlocked the passenger’s side door and started walking down the street.” A witness reportedly called police, who showed up at the driver’s home, took him to the hospital and is awaiting formal charges.
