Bill Cosby Joked About His Rape Allegations During A Stand-Up Today

Cosby’s line of jokes was risque to say the least

Bill Cosby has been in the line of rape allegation fire for two decades, but in the latter half of 2014, the comedian and actor was bombarded with the resurgence of old allegations and the levying of new ones, to the point that the alleged victims were repeatedly brought onto live television to tell the stories of the day they were raped by Bill Cosby. A few months ago, venues began cancelling Cosby speaking and stand-up engagements, but this Canadian gig was still a go.

At the Centre in the Square Theatre in Ontario, Canada, Cosby performed in front of a crowd of about 1,500 people last night, and one of his jokes may have been of the “too soon?” variety.

“You have to be careful about drinking around me.”

Yikes. Considering the jury is still out as to whether or not women actually do have to be careful drinking around Cosby, this may have been one that he should’ve struck from his routine, but what good comedian actually plays it safe? According to the National Post, the audience applauded.

One man did scream “We don’t love you Bill! You’re a rapist?” but he was promptly removed from the venue.
