Westbrook shows America that he can be a killer on the court, and a man with a gentle soul off of it
Though Russell Westbrook is losing steam in this year’s MVP race, he’s just earned an eternal fan and supporter for him and his Oklahoma City Thunder squad. Fresh off of completing his league-leading 11th triple double of the season, Russell took the time to show appreciation to a worthy member of the Oklahoma City community via his foundation, and OKC’s Sunbeam Family Services. The former UCLA great gave the Kia car that he won as the 2015 NBA All-Star game MVP to a single mother, Kristin Gonzales, who burst into tears of joy when she was surprised by Russell and the Thunder organization.
There’s much more we could say here, but just watch the video clip here. Wow.
