The Dream is keeping busy with an upcoming art label with help from Jay-Z and Tricky Stewart.
The Dream released an EP, Crown, which is expecting a follow-up EP, Jewel, but he’s not just stopping there. The producer, singer, and songwriter is launching an art label called Contra Paris involving Jay-Z and Tricky Stewart. The label will not focus solely on music, it will steer its focus to arts of all types.
The Dream went on to tell XXL in an interview:
“We’ve got these young guys who can be Basquiat with great gifts and I want to couple my music with them and make sure that their s*** is being seen because I think that’s what was so great in the 80s.”
The Dream’s plans sounds very promising, especially since Jay-Z is involved. Some new music from the two will also be a delight. But The Dream wouldn’t get that deep into detail.
