Apple Refuses to Let Up Reign, Will Reportedly Launch Own TV Shows & Movies

Yes, Tim Cook has plans to take over the world. This isn’t news.

It appears that Apple is preparing to throw themselves into the extremely competitive arena of online TV show and movie streaming, according to reports from Variety. The hundred-billion dollar company allegedly sent a team of trusted employees to Hollywood to speak with execs about “their interest in spearheading efforts to produce entertainment content.”

Sure, Apple has no experience dabbling in the entertainment industry, but the resources they have at their disposal alone should be enough to make the guys at Netflix, Hulu and Amazon drip a little sweat on their respective desks this morning. It’s long been proven that Apple may not always be the first to the party–tablets, watches, music streaming–but when they do show up, they show out.

Plus, imagine Leonardo Dicaprio or Idris Elba making a Drake-esque speech at the reveal conference for Apple’s Netflix equivalent? Scary.
