Apple Announces September Event, Will Likely Reveal New iPhone

That iPhone you just bought 8 months ago is already about to be outdated.

Apple has officially announced its September event, which has been rumored for much of August. At the event, they’re expected to reveal the newest iPhone, which has all but been confirmed to be the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6c.

According to Mac Rumors–which has been right more often than they’ve been wrong when it comes to guessing iPhone updates–one of the biggest draws of the new phones will be the possible addition of “Force Touch” technology, described as something that will “allow for new gestures that incorporate pressure sensitivity, and improved Touch ID to make fingerprint recognition faster.”

The expected reveal will take place on September 9.
