LeBron James Signs Biggest Sneaker Deal Ever! Lifetime Contract With Nike

According to ESPN‘s Darren Rovell, LeBron James just inked a lifetime contract with Nike brand, making it the biggest single athlete deal in the companies history. Details are very scarce at the moment, but it is confirmed that the agreement well surpasses the 10-year $300 Million contract Oklahoma City’s Kevin Durant signed with Nike last year. The reporter was able to obtain an official statement from Nike which read:

We can confirm that we have agreed to a lifetime relationship with LeBron that provides significant value to our business, brand and shareholders. We have already built a strong LeBron business over the past 12 years, and we see the potential for this to continue to grow throughout his playing career and beyond.

Rovell also shared that the deal was negotiated by Paul Wachter, the same man who worked Beats By Dre‘s $3 Billion deal with Apple. LeBron had initially signed a 7-year $90 Million deal with Nike back in 2003 before he had even stepped foot on an NBA court.
