Americas favorite gangster rap bio pic is finally coming to Blu-Ray and DVD. As all who have seen it shall know, Straight Outta Compton was the most successful movie this summer. The director, F. Gary Gray, did an amazing job covering all of the events that went into the molding of NWA. According to Gray, there was so much to document that even though the movie was 2 hours and 27 minutes long, he had easily shot 3 hours of material.
For all the movie buffs that enjoy taking in those deleted scene and commentary from directors, actors, and others involved, Universal has confirmed that an unrated director’s cut will be available for purchase January 19th. The Straight Outta Compton Unrated Director’s Cut of will include 20 additional minutes of story on the feature including tons of bonus material for the true fans to enjoy (including a never before seen performance by NWA). And even thought the holiday season has passed, this DVD/Blu-Ray will still make a great gift for anyone who has or has yet to watch the film this year.
