The Pro Football Writers of America have named Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley it’s offensive Rookie of the Year and Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters Defensive Rookie of the Year. Though Gurley was up against some stiff competition with the likes of Jameis Winston also in his rookie campaign. The former Georgia stand out was selected 10th overall in the 2015 NFL draft, even though he came off a torn ACL. Gurley missed the first two games of the season and went on to rush for 1,106 yards and 10 touchdowns

Peters on the other hand, also had a remarkable rookie season, tallying 60 total tackles, 26 pass deflections, 1 forced fumble, 2 defensive touchdowns and a whopping 8 interceptions. This helped the Kansas City Chiefs become one of the preeminent defenses for the 2015 season.
