Over the last 5 months, Anderson .Paak has gone from little known hometown favorite to nationally renowned R&B architect, and he’s now got a new record deal to show for it.
Last night in a celebratory Twitter video featuring Dr. Dre himself, Paak announced that he’d signed to Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment, after making several appearances on Dre’s comeback album, Compton, including a scene-stealing performance on “All In a Day’s Work,” which also featured Dre and Marsha Ambrosius. .Paak joins the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Eminem and more at Dre’s Aftermath label.

In his own right, .Paak recently released an album of his own, Malibu, which you can stream below. Malibu is an exhilarating mix of both in-pocket jams and sonic experiments from the Oxnard, California native, featuring production from 9th Wonder and Hi-Tek, and appearances from Rapsody, ScHoolboy Q and more.
