Former Carolina Panther and Dallas Cowboys star defensive end Greg Hardy has watched his career hit a standstill since his breakout years in 2012 and 2013 in Carolina. The following year, in 2014, Hardy was arrested for assault and making threats to his ex-girlfriend. Because of that, NFL Commissioner Roger Goddell put him on the league’s exempt list for the remainder of the season (he played in the first game, missed the next 15), and in 2015 Hardy served a 10 game suspension after the league found evidence that supported the claims by the accuser.
With Hardy only playing in seven games the past two seasons, it would appear the former Pro Bowler would do all he could to clear his name. On Monday [April 4] he spoke with ESPN about the accusations and to announce he is indeed innocent. On top of that, he also stated he’s never hit a woman.
